Apologies for the wonky lighting; I used my phone, and I don't think it was happy about filming. I was hoping for sunshine, but it's a really rainy day here.

Feel free to ask questions about anything. I can elaborate or add pictures.

Paint colors (all from Sherwin Williams): almost every wall is Kilim Beige, which is nowhere near as yellow as it looks. It's a nice, neutral, soft beige. I think of it as milk with a little bit of coffee. The bathroom is appropriately Bath Blue, and the kitchen is Lime Granita. The back of the built-ins is Lagoon.

My parents have a new house, and I'm visiting for a few days. My visit is mostly filled with fixing their electronics, sorting through my old boxes, playing wii with my mom, and taking the beagle for walks. I took a few minutes to share with you in this video:

so, um, that part about hitting the gym? I'm really going to do that more after watching this video. holy cow :-/ or I'm going to stop wearing turtlenecks. The free snacks at work are killing me.

Another video

Here's a video I made back in April for a Livejournal community I belong to. Earlier this week, I went through and gave a "video post" category to all my posts with videos of me in them, and I realized that I never posted this one.

It's a showcase of my accent, as people in the LJ community hail from around the globe.

I honestly think I will do more video posts. It's a lot of fun to look back at the previous ones I've done. Or maybe I'm just a little narcissistic. It's quite interesting to see what I actually look like; my self-image was a little off before.

Who doesn't love videos? Not I. Can you tell that I don't want to write a paper or work on packing up stuff in my room?

I forgot to add this in the video (and will be better next time, as I found out the youtube limit is actually 10 minutes) -- the reason my jacket was really nasty in NZ is that it never really dried out. Seriously. It got all mildewy and funky. It was so bad that my I had to keep my jacket outside at my brother's flat. I finally washed it, and that made things just fine. Luckily, it didn't rain again on my trip, so I was fine.

Apparently, I have a lisp of some sort

This is a short snip taking right before I went paragliding in New Zealand last year. I just watched this for the first time yesterday while getting some paragliding pictures off the CD they made for me.

One of my friends here at school assures me that I don't normally talk like this. Still, the humor value is not harmed by my everyday lack of speech impediment.

In the meantime, here's a video of my pansy-ass paragliding in Queenstown. This was one of the many super-cool things I did in Q'town that I never posted about. Q'town was my last stop on my New Zealand trip, and I was in a contemplative mood, so I didn't really post at all.

Other cool things I did:
-> went horseback riding at a Lord of the Rings filming site
-> went river surfing (got beat to hell with this, but it was fun)
-> bummed around Q'town and marveled at much more expensive it was than the rest of NZ
