Christmas tree

For the first time, we have an actual tree. Well, it is still artificial; no live trees allowed when you live in a dorm. But that's fine with me.

For years, we have either used a tabletop tree or just not decorated. Since we always go home for Christmas, it's hard to find energy to decorate here. This year, though, we were gifted a tree, and I decided it was time to decorate.

Here's a first glimpse. Our tree is 5.5 ft high and just right for our small number of ornaments. The reindeer and sleigh was my favorite decoration as a kid, and my mom sent it home with me last year. The last item is a Korean music box that plays "We wish you a Merry Christmas." This was a gift from one of Matt's students.

How much do you decorate? Do you go all out? We are starting small but will do more as the years go on, I'm sure.
