I should have gotten more pictures here. We went to Dick's Drive-in, Ivar's, and had seafood in Cannon Beach. Matt tasted sushi for the first time, and we made salmon at home.
Somehow, none of those experiences were photographed. Maybe it's because I was having too much fun eating some of my favorite foods. But we did photograph something: beer tasting. Oh, yes, we enjoyed quite a number of beers on our PNW vacation. In moderation, of course, but tasty tasty microbrew moderation.

Sampler trays and tasting glasses = more beer to try

I forgot to take a picture until it was almost all gone!

We even went on a brewery tour to see how it was all made:

Another highlight was the Pike Brewery at Pike Place Market

We shared a sampler tray (by shared, that means I took sips and Matt enjoyed his beer), and I also got a sample of a fabulous hard cider. The cider is cured in bourbon barrels, and the pre-drink whiff and after taste are both reminiscent of sweet, sweet bourbon. And the cider itself is a nice, crisp, hard taste. Overall, super fabulous, and I recommend it to anyone visiting Pike.
