Some readers have mentioned that I haven't been posting much. I've definitely got some good reasons, including my job (it keeps me really busy!) and being sick (going on two weeks now). But a far better reason for not posting as much is the following:

This is Matt (not to be confused with my brother Matt. yes, weird, but you can't help who you meet). He's pretty snazzy. He teaches high school physics and chemistry, so we have fun little nerd fests.
This weekend, Matt helped me achieve one of my 101 goals: 12. Go camping

We took my little tent on over to Nerstrand State Park, which is fairly close by, for a night of car camping. We'd both prefer to go backpacking, but we don't quite have that much time off work. The car camping was still plenty of fun, and it was easy to pack up quickly on Sunday morning after we got soaked from the all-night downpour. Turns out that you do need to be really careful about perfectly tucking the ground cover underneath the tent. Oh, well, lesson learned.
We went geocaching over in Nerstrand, and Matt found his first geocache ever. I'm quite proud of him! Of course, he used to be a road surveyor, so it's not like he's never used a GPS before.

I am a bit worried about my new stove -- I hope glowing bright red and temperamental lighting is just par for the course with a brand new stove. I've used this brand and model of stove many times before during college, and I don't remember it ever looking like this. In any case, it certainly makes for a cool picture

The scenery was lovely, the company was nice, and it was good to spend some time outdoors without having to explain everything to kindergarteners. I still don't have much of a voice (I completely lost my voice on Friday), so we had a pretty quiet but lovely afternoon hike.
