I had a fun time visiting the Toledo Zoo yesterday. Thankfully, I went with someone else who also has zoo stamina. The only thing we missed were the polar bears (I think they have a new baby? There was a really long line to see them). Good time was had by all, and I thought I'd share some of the better pictures I took. Apologies -- there are no pics of me or my friend. Sometimes, I forget to do the people pictures.
We hatched a plan to steal this little dude, but we forgot by the time we got to the end of the zoo:

Maybe I'm breaking my own photo rules here, but the horizontal was the only way to get a good photo of this bird. My other photos were all blurry.
I found this room full of birds to be aesthetically pleasing:
I took a lot of bird pictures. The charismatic megafauna weren't moving around too much.
